Jean-Marc SORNIN at the French Senate

ABYSSA’s CEO, Jean-Marc SORNIN, was heard by the French Senate within the framework of the Interministerial Mission on the Deep Sea. This mission, which also welcomed NGOs and scientists, aims to consider the modalities and consequences of possible deep sea explorations, or even deep sea mining. Jean-Marc SORNIN, who has already participated in several working groups on the subject, led in particular by the French Maritime Cluster, was able to express his views on a number of strategic subjects, including available technologies, environmental constraints, but also the economic balance of exploration and the public policies implemented.
