R&D is essential for what we wish to achieve with ABYSSA, enabling us to work with state-of-the art technological resources, and thus build up the data needed for the most exhaustive mapping and survey campaigns and draw up inventories of our underwater heritage.
Such projects would simply not be possible unless we worked in partnership with research institutes and industrial players who have their own development agendas.
By working together to develop the tools needed to deploy the type of equipment that will be used by oceanographers in the years to come, we can overcome the challenges entailed.
